EMBER Token
Overview
EMBER is the premium currency in Ember Raids, earned through successful mission completion. Unlike Scrap (common currency), EMBER has limited daily earning potential and is used for premium items and special purchases.
Earning EMBER
EMBER is earned exclusively from missions using a dynamic network-share model. The amount you receive depends on your level, the mission's daily pool, and how many other players have claimed that mission today.
Network-Share System
Each mission tier has a daily emission pool:
Daily Mission Pools (soft caps):
Cinders: 150,000 EMBER per day
Ash Wastes: 250,000 EMBER per day
Smolder Rift: 400,000 EMBER per day
When you claim a mission, the system calculates:
Your Reward = max(Pool Remaining ÷ Active Participants, Base Reward)Active Participants = Players who have claimed that specific mission in the current UTC day Minimum Guarantee = 100% of your base reward (always paid, even if pool exhausted)
This creates a dynamic economy where:
Early claimers may receive larger shares
Off-peak players benefit from fewer active participants
Late claimers still receive guaranteed base rewards
The pools are "soft caps" — exceeding them is allowed with base payouts
Base EMBER Rewards (for Minimum Calculation)
Cinders (Tier 1) - Available to all levels:
Level 1-4: 12 EMBER base
Level 5-9: 16 EMBER base
Level 10-14: 20 EMBER base
Level 15-19: 25 EMBER base
Level 20+: 30 EMBER base, +5% per level above 20
Ash Wastes (Tier 2) - Unlocks at Level 10:
Level 10-14: 24 EMBER base
Level 15-19: 32 EMBER base
Level 20+: 40 EMBER base, +5% per level above 20
Smolder Rift (Tier 3) - Unlocks at Level 18:
Level 18-19: 60 EMBER base
Level 20+: 80 EMBER base, +5% per level above 20
Reward Multipliers
PvP Victory: 1.5x EMBER (50% bonus) Founder's Edition: +10% per Founder's item equipped Expired Mission: 0.25x EMBER (75% reduction)
Example Calculations
Example 1 - High Network Share:
Level 10 player, Cinders mission
Base reward: 20 EMBER
Pool remaining: 100,000 EMBER, 5 active participants today
Network share: 100,000 ÷ 5 = 20,000 EMBER
Minimum guarantee: 20 EMBER (base reward)
Final reward: 20,000 EMBER (network share exceeds base)
Example 2 - Pool Exhausted:
Level 15 player, Ash Wastes
Base reward: 32 EMBER
Pool remaining: 100 EMBER, 50 active participants
Network share: 100 ÷ 50 = 2 EMBER
Minimum guarantee: 32 EMBER (base reward)
Final reward: 32 EMBER (base guarantee kicks in)
Example 3 - With Multipliers:
Level 20 player, Smolder Rift, PvP victory, 3 Founder's items
Base reward: 80 EMBER
Network share: 50,000 EMBER
Founder's bonus: 1 + (3 × 0.10) = 1.3
PvP multiplier: 1.5
Final reward: 50,000 × 1.5 × 1.3 = 97,500 EMBER
Daily Earning Potential
The network-share system makes actual earnings variable based on network activity:
Theoretical Maximum (if you're the only player claiming):
Cinders: 150,000 EMBER per day (daily pool)
Ash Wastes: 250,000 EMBER per day (daily pool)
Smolder Rift: 400,000 EMBER per day (daily pool)
Realistic Earnings (with active player base):
Level 1-5 (Cinders only, 3 runs/day, tutorial protection):
Minimum guarantee: 3 × 12 = 36 EMBER/day minimum
Expected with moderate activity: 100-500 EMBER/day
Level 10-17 (Ash Wastes unlocked, 4 runs/day):
Minimum guarantee: 4 × 40 = 160 EMBER/day minimum
Expected with moderate activity: 300-1,500 EMBER/day
Level 18-20 (Smolder Rift unlocked, 6 runs/day possible):
Minimum guarantee: 6 × 200 = 1,200 EMBER/day minimum
Expected with moderate activity: 2,000-10,000 EMBER/day
Potential during off-peak: 10,000-50,000 EMBER/day
Factors Affecting Actual Earnings:
Network activity (more players = smaller shares)
Timing of claims (early/off-peak = larger shares)
PvP victories (1.5x multiplier)
PvP defeats (0 rewards)
Mission failures (0 rewards)
Missed claim windows (75% reduction)
Founder's Edition items (up to 60% bonus with 6 items)
Your player level (affects minimum guarantee)
